A snow/ice day at home

Well, I get to spend some extra time with Colt today. We didn't have school because of the ice. I'm glad I didn't have to drive on the ice but a little ticked that we have to make up the day now. But oh well... Colt is actually watching Baby Einstein right now. He actually made it through a whole episode without falling asleep. He loves those DVD's. A great friend from church just gave us the whole set! Well, Colt rolled over on Sunday. I put him on the floor and went to the kitchen. I didn't see it but I left him on his stomach and came back and he was on his back. So he did it again. Of course now that we want to get it on video, he won't do it anymore! So my little man is growing up! He also did a little better eating with a spoon last night. I'm sure in time he'll be a pro. He's still sleeping through the night for the most part. He still wakes up when he doesn't have a pacifier in his mouth so I put it back in and he goes right back to sleep. The whole dilating thing is going okay. Jared is doing it. Jared's also putting him in the shower with him. It's so cute. So much easier than giving him a bath. We are just having such a great time with him. Being a parent is the best thing in the world! Another Dr. Update

Well, I'm a little bummed because I thought this would be our last Dr. appt for a while. His little hiney was still too tight so he had to dilate it again. It was aweful. I think I cried as much as he did. I hate watching them do that. But 5 minutes later he acted fine like nothing happened. So he sent me home with a little instrument to dilate him myself. We have to do that twice a day for the next two weeks and he said that should help him loosen up. It really just makes me hurt to think about how that must feel for him. Another reason, I'm so glad he's so young and won't ever remember this. He weighed 17.8 pounds today. So he was happy with his progress. He just wants his little hiney to loosen up a little. So please keep us in your prayers. This whole dilating thing will probably not be very fun for either of us.

Dr. Update

Well, i haven't posted in a while. We've been busy busy! We went to the Dr. today for his 4 month shots. He weighed exactley 17 pounds. So he's in the 84% for weight adn 86% for height. So he's on the bigger end of the spectrum! The Dr. said everything looked great. He's growing good and getting big. Of course we both hated the shots but he actually did okay with is. Friday we go to the surgeon. Hopefully for the last time. I really really hope the surgeon thinks he's doing good and we will be done with Dr. appt's for a while! So I'm posting a few pictures from the past few weeks. Today he is 4 months and 2 weeks old. Wow, how time flies!

A few weeks ago, we had a girls day so Colt had a daddy day. It was the first time I left Colt with Jared all day. They had a great time. This is how I left them!

So Colt likes taking baths now. I finally told Jared to take some pictures while i was giving him a bath. He does great except when he poops in the water. That's not fun!

So I'm pretty sure Colt is teething. I know it's kinda early but I can see two little white specks on the top of his lower gum. I was curios becaus his drooling has really increased and he won't stop chewing on his fingers. So we'll see. I don't feel anything yet so I don't know when they'll actually come in. Wow, how time flies! Hope everyone had a great holiday season. I'll update when we go to the Dr. in a few weeks.
