What a week!

WEll, I just realized I hadn't posted in a few weeks and alot has happened. We went on a fishing trip. It was more of a "stay indoors" trip because it was cold and rainy. But we got to get away for a weekend. Colt did great. He still slept all night in his pack-n-play. He had a great time playing with his friend, Anberlin. They're only 10 days apart. Colt got to be outside and see his daddy fishing. We all had a great time.
So I'm glad we had a restful weekend because we had a busy week. It started with Colt having a fever on Tuesday. It happened overnight. Monday he was fine. Tuesday he was running 103 fever. So Wednesday, I took the day off and took him to the Dr. All the peditricians were not there so we saw a regular Dr. She didn't really know what he had so she gave him a breathing treatment. He was not breathing good at all. So she was still not happy with his beathing so she sent us home with a breathing treatment machine and some albuterol. Well, long story short, it didn't get any better so we went to the ER. He had Croup. They gave him medcine through a breathing treatment and a steriod shot. It worked almost immediately. We had to spend the night since they gave him a steroid shot. So that was fun! But we're all better today. He has a little cough left but he's as happy as can be. He's crawling all over the place, pulling up on everything. He's so fun to watch.
So we're keeping busy. I can't wait until summer is here so I can be home with him everyday. Here's a few pictures from our camping trip and a few from today in his "big boy" outfit.

Such a big boy!

Lot's of Easter pictures

This has nothing to do with Easter but it was a funny moment. Friday Jared and I decided to let Colt stay with his aunt Jaime and Uncle Joe overnight. We planned this a couple of times but I backed out because I just didn't think I was ready to be away from him all night. So he's 7 months old now and I thought it would be a good time for me and Jared to have a whole night to ourself. We survived and I know Colt had a great time too. He slept alot longer for Aunt Jaime than he ever does for me. So right before we left the house, I decided to give him a bath. AFter his bath, I took him to his room and started to put a diaper on him but realized I had already packed his diaper rash cream. So i left him for about 30 seconds and this is what I came back too.

If you can't tell, those are a package of diapers that he's trying to grab and he had a little accident on the floor before i made it back. This all happened in about 30 seconds. This will be a great picture to show his dates when he's about 16!

7 months old!

Colt after I fed him squash. This is the first time I actually put him in his highchair.
Wow, how time flies. It's so weird... I look at clothes Colt has in his closet and I think "there's no way he'll fit that. it's way too big. But then I put it on him and it's almost too small! Just last month i bought him some cute one piece shorts outfits. They're so cute. I bought 9 months thinking he would for sure be able to wear them in Spring and maybe early summer. Well, today i put it on him for the second time and it's too small. Ugh,,, I'm not buying anymore clothes under 12 months. He's just growing too fast. Well, i really don't have many updates. He's doing the army crawl and still pulling himself up pretty good. We just got over a really bad diaper rash. We switched to soy formula and I think that helped alot. He hardly spits up at all anymore. It stinks alot worse than regular formula but I think it's better for him. Next weekend we're going out of town. I'm really anxious to see how Colt will do away from his own bed for a weekend. We're going to Lake Texoma. We're meeting Darrell and Michelle and they're 3 year old and 7 month old. It should be a very interesting weekend! I hope to spend lots of time outdoors. Pray for good weather! I hope everyone has a happy Easter. I'm looking forward to our staff egg hunt tomorrow. Our principal is great! PS: I hope you're happy mom!
