Paint Project # 1

Before

After

Colt's shoe fetish

I'm not sure exactly what this means, but colt loves shoes. I can put anything in a room and he will go after my shoes. Anyone that has been around him will contest to this. He's even tried to take a pair of flip flops off people so he can eat them. So I decided last week to try to capture this shoe fetish he has. It's actually kinda funny. Last night Jared couldn't find his other shoe. I'm sure as colt gets older, it will be harder to find the shoes he's hidden. Maybe he'll grow up and be a famous shoe designer. Mama would love that (although i don't think dad would be that happy)

Well, I thought i would have so much more time this summer to post and take pictures. But obviously, i haven't posted in 3 weeks so I don't have as much time as I thought. But it's been great. We've spent some days doing nothing and others on the go. He was supposed to have his 9 month appt a few week ago but they had a power outage due to bad weather. So I rescheduled it for this past Monday. Everything went great. He always has a runny nose and watery eyes so the Dr. gave us some zyrtec to give him. It's seemed to help. I guess my poor baby has allergies. They drew blood to test for some things. It was all routine stuff. He was such a trooper. He didn't even cry when they took his blood! Such a big boy!
He's started to eat a few things here and there from the table. He's done really well so far. One thing the Dr. told me is to start giving him more baby food and less formula. And he wants him to start on a sippy cup so we can start weening him off of the bottle. It really hasn't been that bad. He went all day yesterday with no bottle, just a sippy cup. He was a little fussy last night but overall did very well. I also am attempting to make my own baby food. It's really simple and much cheaper so as long as Colt tolerates it, I'll keep doing it.
I can't believe my baby will be 10 months. Before i know it, I'll be planning his 1st birthday!
I didn't cature pictures from all the fun things we've done so far but here are a few. We've been swimming with all of his cousins, we've gone to Six Flags, the park, McDonalds, shopping with mom (which i'm sure he really enjoyed) and much more.
He is starting to get really attached to me which i love for the most part but sometimes it's hard to get anything done. I do make him entertain himself for a part of the day everyday. I know I can't hold him or play with him all day. His baby sitter would hate me when i take him back in August.
I started painting our house this week. So far, i've just done part of the kitchen but befor the summer is over, I want to do everything. I'm not that great at it but hopefully i'll get better as I go.
Well, enjoy the pictures. There's lots of them!

Hangin out with the boys

Getting ready to see the Dr.

Colt waking up his cousins

He's getting more hair

He wanted to taste a lemon. It doesn't really look like it in this picture but he liked it. I finally had to take it away when he bit off a big chunk of it.

Everytime he's in my lap and put something in my mouth, he goes after it! In this picture, it was just a piece of ice!

Sara and Brandon are in thier new house. We went over to see it.

This is how Colt decided to help out!

Brandon and Jared just removed the frame that was around the tub. It looks 100 times better

Just a random pic showing one of his funny expressions

Colt's first trip to Six Flags

We decided to try some spaghetti

I'm not sure how much he actually got in his mouth but I think he liked it
