We've been to the dr. twice this week. First on Monday i took him b/c he's been running fever, runny nose, and rubbing his ear. So I thought ear infection. Well, he didn't have an ear infection. There was also something else that I asked the Dr. about. When I changed Colt's diaper, there would be this bulge in his groin area when he cried. I noticed it once on July 4th b/c he was crying b/c of his diaper rash. But I hadn't seen it again since this past weekend. So the Dr. couldn't see anything so just said he wouldn't worry about it unless it became more common. Well, this whole week he's been crying every time I change hid diaper b/c he's had an upset stomach. So I've noticed it at least once a day. So I read up on it and thought maybe it was a hernia. I took him back to the Dr. It was a different Dr. cause our Dr. was out of town. This time he saw it and told me I was right. It's a hernia. So I have an appt with a surgeon next Tuesday to talk about what to do with it. The pediatrician today told me it's almost always corrected with surgery. So this will be his 4th. I have read that it's usually just day surgery so that will be better than a long stay. But it's still anesthesia and it's still wheeling out little baby off to a room where we can't be so they can cut him open. Oh and what makes things worse is we can't use the same surgeon. I only have my school insurance now. When he had his previous surgeries I had my bank of America ins. So Colt's original surgeon doesn't take my school ins. so I had to find a new surgeon. I hope I get a good feeling from her on Tuesday. We just really loved our last one and trust him with our son. He's done such a good job and he's known Colt since he was a few days old. usually I'm willing to give new people a chance but I'm a little hesitant when it concerns performing surgery on my son. But I'll meet her and decide if I want her to do this surgery. So keep us in your prayers as we go through another surgery. And I know I can't post w/out adding some pictures.

My little boy is growing up
Our summer is flying by. Colt is definitely walking all over the place. Getting into everything all the time. I'm about to buy a play yard gate thing that will block him in the dining room where all his toys are. I'm sure he'll eventually learn how to climb over it but maybe it will work for a little while. He now has 5 teeth and working on the 6th. We've enjoyed being with each other. He's lately become a daddy's boy. We were in Costco the other day and he only wanted his daddy. He didn't want even want me! And I love that. It just melts my heart when his daddy comes home and his face just lights up. Here are a few recent pictures of the past few weeks. Only 3 weeks of summer left. We're gonna make the most of it.
Playing at the splash park
Wanting to play Tennis with mommy and daddy
Thinking about putting this locust in my mouth
Luke with his new "insect" friend
Trying to show Colt how to play with a Locust (and not eating it)
Wrong way Colt
Our play date with Amy, Cade and Kinley
Colt thinks he's about to walk the dog. What I didn't get on tape is what happened when Bully walked away. colt didn't let go. It was so funny
